Ishraq Prayer

The Arabic word “Ishraaq” is the name given to the time of day when the sun has totally ascended (risen) in the mornings. The “ishraaq” prayers are a two-rakah supererogatory prayer offered after the sun has totally risen. It is the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he would lead the professors in the compulsory fajr prayer in the Masjid, then sit and commend and recall Allah Subhanah till the sun had totally risen; and afterward he would offer a two-rakah prayer and leave the Masjid (Mosque). Ishraq Ki Namaz

Namaz e Ishraq : Ishraaq, Chast or Salat ut Duha Ek hi Namaaz Hai, kuch aalimo ke nazdik ishraaq or chast alag alag hai, ishraq ki namaaz suraj tulu (sunrise) hote hi padh lena chahiye aur chast ki namaaz suraj tulu (sunrise) se zawal ke beech padna chahiye. Rasool Allah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne irshaad farmaya: Jisne Namaz e Fajar jamaat ke saath adaa ki aur Ishraaq tak Masjid me baitha raha phir 2 rakaat nafil namaz padhi to usko ek Haj aur Umre ka sawaab milega.
