- And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin. (Surah Al-Isra, 17:31) Before the time of our Prophet Mohammed ﷺ (peace be upon him) the Arabic culture was so that daughters were buried live at Birth. Can you imagine how horrific and heart-breaking that is? Our Prophet ﷺ changed all of that, and gave women so much honour and status. The way he loved Fatima (his daughter) is a true testament of this.
And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin.
- Narrated Abu Hurayrah: The Prophet Mohammed ﷺ (peace be upon him) said: A man follows the religion of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend. (Sunan Abi Dawud, Book 43, Hadith 61) Be careful who your friends are… make sure they are ones who encourage you to aim for Jannah.
- Abu Asad b. ‘Amr said: I asked Anas b. Malik about ablution. He replied: The Prophet (peace be upon him) performed ablution for each prayer and we offered (many) prayers with the same ablution. (Sunan Abi Dawud, Book 1, Hadith 171) This is useful especially in the winter months where the prayers are so close together
- Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Allah created a hundred mercies, and He placed one mercy among his creation, they show mercy to one another by it, and there are ninety-nine mercies with Allah.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 6, Book 48, Hadith 172)
Look at the Mercy of Allah! So so comforting isn’t it?
