Quran and Fasting Hadith

Quran in Ramzan
  • Almighty Allah says: The reward of any virtuous deed of the progeny of Adam is for him (or her) alone, except fasting. That is for Me alone and I will fix its reward.

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith No. 1904)

  • Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه‎‎) That:

The Prophet Mohammed (صلى الله عليه و سلم) Sallalla hu Alaihi Wassalaam was the most generous of all the people, and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Qur’an with him. Allah’s Messenger then used to be more generous than the fast wind. {Sahih Al Bukhari 3554}
