Is black magic for real? A few people believe in it. What does the Shariah say in regards to this?
It is Forbidden (Haraam) to hurt others and to engage in magic of any sort, however magic is a reality and it can influence/affect other people. Allah Most High has specified this in the Holy Quran and has denounced it.
Translation: They discover what hurts them and does not profit them. (Surah Baqara-102). This verse specifies the Jews learning magic, of its harm and condemns it very strongly. And Allah knows best.
